Design and Technology teacher – 1.0FTE 

Role Description

We currently seek a teacher of Design and Technology to teach ICT/Design and Technology for students from primary to IG5.  IGCSE 4 and 5 are exam students covering the syllabi.  In addition to the teaching requirement, there is also our “classroom of the future” to be designed, promoted and actively used in our school community.  As an e-learning school we seek drive and enthusiasm to share technology in our educational environment.  This includes such activities as robotics. In addition to the teaching requirement, teachers are required to support our boarding students and boarding team with weekend activities (5 per year) and study evenings. Teachers are also required to offer extra curricula activities. 


As a minimum must have fully qualified teacher status eg QTS, PGCE or its equivalent. A minimum of a Bachelors (Hons) in the subject and be qualified to teach the upper secondary students.  


Must be experienced in the delivery of the curricula.  


Previous International experiences is preferred. 


  • Is a qualified expert in the curriculum of the subjects taught.
  • Has an excellent command of the English language. (native speaker preferably or C2)
  • Keeps abreast of relevant educational developments and curriculum updates.
  • Uses assessment to reflect on his/her teaching.
  • Good communication skills with all potential school stakeholders.
  • Proven team player.
  • As a teacher in a boarding school you are also required to participate in boarding and evening study blocks during the course of the academic year.
