Flexible boarding packages
When you’re a high flyer yourself, you naturally have high hopes for your children. When your demanding career in the Netherlands means long days at work or abroad, quality time with your kids is at a premium.
Expat families in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany get the best of both worlds when they choose a flexible boarding package at Eerde International Boarding School. Eerde is the only international school in the Netherlands to offer multiple flexible boarding options: five-day boarding, two and three-day boarding, and even three-month boarding packages. And last but not least our popular summer schools and school holiday boarding packages, lasting two to four weeks.
Reasons to choose flexible boarding
- Almost all homework gets done at school
- Opportunities for extra focus, tuition and coaching in the evenings
- Time for social and sporting activities with school friends
- No school-run or time wasted travelling to school each day
- Parents can focus on busy work schedules knowing the kids are in good hands
- More quality time at weekends for family and friends
Five-day flexible boarding
From Monday to Friday your child lives at Eerde. They work hard on learning assignments and play hard in sporting, cultural and outdoor activities. Our learning coaches supervise the routine of homework sessions on three weekday evenings in the quiet of the castle’s Library or in the school’s Learning Enrichment Centre. And Friday afternoon, students take the school bus home: brimming with ideas, homework done, ready to hit the town with family and friends.
Eerde’s flexible boarding packages means we get to spend true quality time with the kids.
Two-to-three day flexible boarding
Eerde day school students usually go home in the evening. But there are times when they prefer to live at school for two or three nights a week to immerse themselves totally in their studies. Coming up to assessment or exams they may be reassured by intensified homework supervision or extra sessions in the Learning Enrichment Centre. Or when they’re working hard on a cooperative team assignment, students may prefer to stick around and involve themselves even more closely with their study friends.
The two co-ed boarding houses in the castle grounds have modern and comfortable bedrooms and cosy shared lounges and kitchens. Together boarding students and staff create a safe, welcoming and warm environment which soon feels like home from home.
Most students opt to share a room with another student in the same age group and same gender. Single rooms are also available. The rooms are on separate floors for boys and girls and have en-suite shower facilities.
