International School Eerde, the key to your future.

Founded in 1934, the International School Eerde is the only International Boarding School in the Netherlands. The school offers numerous programmes tailored to the individual needs of each student, including children with learning difficulties and dyslexia, as well as highly gifted children. Eerde carefully monitors the personal, academic, athletic and creative development of each individual student ages 4 to 19.

Eerde accepts students on the Dutch primary school level, VMBO, HAVO and VWO levels. The school offers the internationally recognised diploma courses International Primary Curriculum (IPC), International General Certificate for Secondary Education (IGCSE) and International Baccalaureate (IB), and comprises both a day school and international boarding school.

Classes are small; the 135 students receive individual supervision from 25 teachers. This means that the students can attend the programme that suits them best. Eerde is therefore able to guarantee that each student will pass.

International School Eerde is housed in a magnificent castle built in 1715, located in the woods near Ommen. The place might look centuries old but has a contemporary policy. For example, every student has his own laptop with wireless access to on-line planning, thereby allowing him to view his tasks and assignments at any time. The on-line monitoring system also allows parents to keep close track of their children's achievements.
